Website performance is critical for SEO and user experience, but most speed testing tools are either too technical for non-developers or too basic to provide actionable insights. We needed to build a tool that bridges this gap — delivering real Lighthouse data in a beautiful, understandable format while capturing leads from users who need help implementing the fixes.
We built a full-stack speed auditor that calls the Google PageSpeed Insights API in real-time, parses Lighthouse metrics (FCP, LCP, CLS, TTI, TBT, Speed Index), and displays results with an animated score gauge and color-coded metric cards. When the API is unavailable, a clearly-labeled estimation mode provides approximate scores. The tool includes a lead capture flow that offers a detailed report via email, converting free tool users into qualified leads.
